Devin Wade Sinclair, 47, of Panhandle, Texas, passed away on October 31, 2025.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 5th at First Methodist Church of Panhandle with Rev. Jerry Lane officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 4th, at the Minton-Chatwell Funeral Home.
Devin was born March 15, 1978, in Amarillo, Texas to Erskine and Frances Sinclair. Growing up, he enjoyed playing football, working on the family farm with his dad, and stirring up all kinds of trouble around town. He was a 1996 graduate of Panhandle High School. Devin began his college studies at West Texas A&M and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas Tech University in 2002. During his college years, he built lifelong friendships, made countless memories, and truly grew into the Devin we all know and love—always the life of the party and a loyal friend to many. After graduation, he worked at the Panhandle Groundwater District. He later joined Triangle Insurance, where he built a dedicated and impactful career.
He married the love of his life, Mandy, on July 3rd, 2004. They welcomed their first of three children, Savannah, on January 14, 2005. Jackson was born on March 15th, 2007, and Augustus was born on January 27, 2010. They returned to the family farm in November of 2010, where together they raised their children, established a home, and grew the family legacy. Devin spent countless hours in the pig barn helping his kids raise and train their show pigs. He found joy in the hard work, lessons, and laughter shared along the way. Along with his love for the farm, he could always be found rooting for the Panhandle Panthers and the Red Raiders, seldom turning down good conversation and a cold beer.
He was preceded in death by his father, Erskine Sinclair, and his mother, Frances Sinclair. Devin is survived by his wife, Mandy Sinclair, and his three children, Savannah, Jackson, and Augustus.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sinclair Family Account at Happy State Bank.
