Debbie Gay Northrup

Debbie Northrup, 72, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Minton Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in the Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Friday, August 1, 2025, at the funeral home.

Debbie was born July 13, 1953, in Borger, Texas to Oliver Simpson and Leta Tiblow Simpson. She married Forest “Frosty” Northrup November 7, 1984, in Borger. Debbie was a member of Borger Christian Center. She enjoyed reading Stephen King novels, camping in Red River, and water skiing in her youth. Debbie had an infectious smile, and it lit up every room she went in. Nothing brought more joy to her life than her family, especially being called “Mimi”.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Oliver and Leta Simpson; husband, Forest “Frosty” Northrup; adopted daughter, Rachael Stevens; and sister, Patricia Raper.

Survivors include her sons, Eric Huddleston of Borger, Aaron Huddleston and wife Jessica of Canyon; daughter, Nicole Cozbey and husband Chris of Spearman; bonus daughter, Kim Karlin and husband Sean of Borger; nine grandchildren, Macie Chavez and husband Dom, Drew Huddleston, Tripp Huddleston, Riley McKown, Jaxsen Cozbey, Evan McCammon and wife Reighan, Cade Cozbey, Arthur Glisson, Cris Karlin; two great grandchildren, Everleigh, Ridge; sisters, Barbara Anglen, Carolyn Hughes, Wanda Mims; brother, Tommy Simpson and wife Dorothy; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
