Cynthia Jean Reagan

Panhandle

Cynthia Jean Reagan passed away in the presence of family on Monday, June 10, 2024. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 15,2024, at First  Methodist Church of Panhandle.

Burial will follow in Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle. 

Cynthia was born June 29, 1953 in Alice, Texas to Francois Ellis Harris and Jewell V. Pieper Harris. She graduated from Borger High School in 1971 where she met the love of her life, Marvin Earl Reagan. They married on August 19, 1972. Cynthia and Marvin raised their family in Panhandle, Texas for over 40 years. She enjoyed being an active member of the First United Methodist Church, teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, serving as a leader for the Youth Ministry, and actively participating in NEON Friends and the annual Stockings Full of Christmas. She worked in accounting until she retired and became a substitute teacher for Panhandle ISD. Cynthia loved the community of Panhandle. She enjoyed spending time with friends, attending social functions, and meeting new people in the community. Cynthia never met a stranger. Nothing brought her more joy than her family. She loved her children and her grandchildren more than anything and did not miss an opportunity to brag about them to others. 

She is preceded in death by her father and husband along with her half-sister Pat Crawford and her in-laws Earl and Kyble Reagan and Alan Reagan.  

Survivors include her two daughters, Jennifer Mott and husband, Chris, of Amarillo; Kimberly Reagan of Longview; her son, Robert Reagan and wife, Katie, of Amarillo; her mother, Jewell Harris, of Amarillo; brothers, Frank Harris, of Borger; Ron Harris and wife, Kathy, of Amarillo; sister, Deborah Anderson, of Horseshoe Bend, Idaho; half-brothers, Stanley Harris and wife, Iris, of Grand Prairie; and Jimmy Harris of Venus; four grandchildren, Rhys Mott-Gonzales, Davis Reagan, Jane Reagan, and Rhyker Mott; along with numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and extended family who love her. 

The family suggests memorials be to Alzheimer’s Association or First Methodist Church of Panhandle Memorial Fund.
