Cricket Gibbs, 85, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at First Baptist Church with Pastor Les Sharp officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 5-7 on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at the funeral home. 
 
Cricket was born February 22, 1938, to Oscar J. Mayo and Lennie Lee Thomas Mayo.  She married Kenneth Gibbs on June 29, 1956, in Vernon, Texas.  She has been a resident of Borger since 1957 and was a member of 1st Baptist Church.  She served as a church pianist and nursery worker.   Cricket enjoyed reading and spending time with family. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Lennie Mayo; husband, Kenneth; sisters, Velma Lee Kubersky, Darlene Reese; and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Gibbs. 

Survivors include her sons, Robert Gibbs and his wife April, Gary Gibbs all of Borger; two daughters, Sharon Stidham and her husband Ronny of Hartley, Texas, Linda Fetterolf and her husband David of Pampa; sister, Louise Walton of Bolivar, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Michael Prock and wife Katie, Jared Prock and wife Jessica, Alissa Beecher and husband Jake, Brian Gibbs, Amy Barber and husband Bobby, Wes Fetterolf and wife Amber, Justin Fetterolf, Marcus Fetterolf and Bailey Landcaster, Brandon Gibbs and wife Xsara, Aaron Gibbs and wife Rebecca; 28 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
