Clyda Speegle

Clyda Mae Speegle, 77, of Borger, died in Amarillo on Saturday. Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mrs. Speegle married Austin Speegle on November 23, 1946 in Borger. She was a homemaker and member of Bible Baptist Church. She collected birdhouses, angels, loved to sew and bake, was an avid reader and served in her church for nearly 40 years. She was preceeded in death by her parents - Clyde and Lucille Packard and a baby brother. Survivors include her husband, August of the home; a son - Lawrence Speegle of Borger; 2 daughters - Frances Corbett of Fritch and Joyce Speegle of Sugarland, TX; 1 sister; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Casket bearers will be Eric Walser, Robin McCarty, Matt Armstrong, Dustin McCarty and V.E. Deaton.
