Cynthia Faye Cook, 62, passed away from complications of Covid Saturday, February 5, 2022.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Grace Church. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Friday, February 11, 2022 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to Extended Hands, 104 N. Cornell, Fritch, Texas 79036.
Cindy was born October 10, 1959 in Jacksboro, Texas to James “Jim” Young and Shirley Hackney Young. She married Dennis Cook on June 9, 1978 in Skellytown. Cindy enjoyed cooking, playing the piano, her cats and loving people. She had a big heart and it showed in so many ways such as serving on the board of Extended Hands and “adopting” many kids as her own. However nothing brought more joy to her life than her family, some of their best times were during family game nights playing Moon, Quarkle and Spider.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis of Borger; parents, Jim and Shirley Young of Skellytown; children, Cathleen Cook and her children Dezarae, Alexis and Matthew of Corpus Christi, Nathan Cook and wife Karla and their children Makayla, Mackenzie, Maximus and Maverick of Houston, Dylan Watson of Pampa, Charissa LeFevre and husband Logan and their children Clara and a grandson due to arrive in July of Tularosa, New Mexico, Caleb Cook and wife Jamie Lynn of Fritch, Aaron Cook of Fritch; and brother, James Young of Skellytown.
