Christine "Nana" Watkins

Mary “Nana” Christine Watkins, 75, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at First Christian Church in Stinnett with Pastor James Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at the funeral home. 

Christine was born June 22, 1949, in Dalhart, Texas to Pedro “Pete” Rojas and Trina Molina Rojas. She enjoyed playing Bingo, her coffee, visiting with family and friends, and doing crafts. Nana loved big and if you ever visited her house, you were not leaving hungry, cooking for others was her love language. Nothing brought more joy to her life than her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved being a Nana more than anything. 

She is preceded in death by her father, Pete Rojas; mother, Trina Molina Rojas; brothers, Ben Rojas, Henry Torres; and great grandson, Greyson.

Survivors include her sons, Sid Watkins and wife Casey of Stinnett, Jerrett Sides and wife Jessica of Borger, Jeremy Watkins and wife Mandi of Mansfield; grandchildren, Allyson Watkins and fiancé Zach McDonald, Annie Edge and husband Dillon, Addison Watkins, Barrett Watkins and wife Brooklyn, Nick Parker and wife Katherine, Madison Parker, Matthew Parker, Ian Sides, Hannah Sides, Reece Watkins, Joston Watkins, Harlow Watkins; great grandchildren, Axl Chavez, Flynn Edge, Zylee McDonald, Marshall Parker, Beau Parker, Adalyn Parker, and two on the way; longtime companion, Rogelio Carlos of Dumas; brothers, Pete Rojas, Larry Rojas, Ross Rojas; sisters, Carmella Montoya, Anita Felker, Janie Garcia; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
