Charlie Robert Schubert, Jr., 77, was called home Friday, December 17, 2021.

Graveside services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Westlawn Memorial Park with Jake Minton officiating. Burial is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Charlie was born July 15, 1944 in Pasadena, TX to Charlie Robert Schubert and Helen Bienek Schubert. He graduated from Furr High School in 1962. He proudly served as a Sgt in the United States Air Force from 1965-1969. He later became an ordained minister. He retired from the City of Houston in 2004 and relocated to Borger TX. He enjoyed spending time with his family, attending Faith Covenant Church and eating and making friends at the local restaurants.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law James Grimm.

Charlie is survived by his sons Robert Schubert of Oklahoma City OK, Kyle Schubert and wife Jennifer of Amarillo TX. Grandchildren Chris Schubert of San Antonio TX, Dakota Schubert of Dallas TX, Kylie Brown and husband Kyler of Denver CO and Berkley Schubert of Boston MA, 2 great grandchildren, Brothers Clarence Schubert and wife Candy of Friendswood TX, Larry Schubert of Channelview TX, Lawrence Schubert of Houston TX, sister Jean Grimm of Houston TX and numerous nieces and nephews.
