Charles “Bulldog” Dwayne Rawlins, 87, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
A celebration of his life will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at the Fritch Church of Christ. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. In lieu of flowers his memory may be honored with a gift to the Fritch Church of Christ, Po Box 289, Fritch, Texas 79036.
Bulldog was born December 4, 1938, in Dennison, Texas to Lee Rawlins and Maude Brown Rawlins. On April 21, 1961, he married Polly Smith in Fritch. He was a natural jack of all trades; he was a talented woodworker and welder. Bulldog could build anything from nothing. He made Polly her own metal art studio, fabricated his own trailers, and built and played with his river buggies. Bulldog was the best and funniest dad, his kids had the best science projects, and he always created stuff for them to do, even if that meant they could not tell Polly.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Sanford, Carl, Don, Lee; and sisters, Leona Cowan and Della Viner.
Survivors include his wife, Polly of Fritch; daughters, Louise Hudson and husband Harmon of Fritch, Tuanna Jeffery of Junction City, Kansas; grandchildren, Chad Burris and wife Trisha, Andrew Burris and wife Ashley, Wyatt Wilson and wife Makayla, John Jeffery and wife Mercedes, Heather Drakes and husband Steven; sixteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
