Bobby Kent True

Bobby Kent True, 84, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026.

Graveside services will be held at 10 am Monday, June 15, 2026, in Westlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive guests from 5-7 pm on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Bobby was born November 6, 1941, in Bentonville, Arkansas to Charles Gilmore True and Jessie B. Robinson True. He married Janis Elaine Carter on June 19,1998, in Borger. Bobby enjoyed mowing his lawn, bowling and just helping others. He enjoyed working, whether at home or at Phillips. Bobby found comfort in making sure things were kept in good shape, even polishing the cars. He liked to be on the lake either just boating or waterskiing. Bobby also liked to visit with people, and he would always make them laugh. He was a devout Arkansas Razorback fan, “Woo Pig Sooie!”

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Jessie True; wife, Janis True; daughter, Sherri Lynn True; granddaughter, Amber Wagner; brothers, Gary Dean True, Donald True, Charles True; and sister, Beverly Howard.

Survivors include his son, Stephen True and wife Sarah of Buena Vista, Colorado; grandchildren, Alicia Wagner, Jeremy Naranjo and wife Shantel, Tyler True, Liam True and wife Zuri; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Connie True of Little Rock; many nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
