Bobby Hines

Bobby “Bob” Lee Hines, 89, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022.

Graveside services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, in Westlawn Memorial Park.  A celebration of his life will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Borger.  Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Bob was born February 11, 1933, in Chandler, Oklahoma to Irle “Rube” Hines and Georgia Frump Hines.  He married the love of his life, Carolyn Rutledge, on August 20, 1955, in Clovis, New Mexico.  Bob retired from Phillips.  He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and traveling. Nothing brought more joy to his life than his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rube and Georgia Hines; and sisters, Betty Hadle and Sue Sebastian.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Carolyn of Borger; daughters, Connie Lee Black and husband Gil of Amarillo, Kathy Whittington and husband Jeff of Borger; grandchildren, Russell Washer, Lee Washer, Brandi Whittington, Mindy Ferguson and husband Tek, Shelby Whittington, Kim Britten and husband Sammy, Laura Savage and husband Brandon; thirteen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Hines and wife Ann of Borger; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
