Billy Woody

Billy Dean Woody, 62, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017.

A celebration of his life will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, September 7, 2017 in the Minton Memorial Chapel. Billy will lie in state at the funeral home beginning at 8 am until 8 pm on Tuesday, September 5th and Wednesday, September 6th.

Billy was born February 24, 1955 in Abilene, Texas to Betty Campbell Woody and Bobby Eugene Woody, Sr. He was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed riding his motorcycle and cooking. Billy had a heart for people especially children.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lorrie Gunkel Woody; mother, Betty Woody; and children, Misty Woody and Billy Woody, Jr.

Survivors include his father, Bobby Woody, Sr. of Moulton, Alabama; daughters, Kendra O'Hara and husband Christopher of Borger, Wendy Sharp of Alabama; sons, Donney Wayne Schultz of Fritch; James Alfred Schultz and wife Ada of Fritch; six grandchildren; and brothers, Kenneth Patrick Woody and wife Marcella of Alabama and Bobby Woody, Jr. and wife Betty of Alabama.
