Billie Jo Newell

Billie Jo Newell, 90, of Borger went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. 

Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Burial is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Billie was born March 16, 1935, in Anadarko, Oklahoma to Eddie Lee and Lillie Bell (Herring) Jordon. She married AJ Newell March 13, 1953, in Anadarko, Oklahoma. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church where she loved serving her Lord. Billie worked at Crockett Elementary as a custodian and working in the cafeteria. Billie also worked as a nurse’s aide at North Plains Hospital. She loved to read her bible, watching the Oklahoma Sooners and the Dallas Cowboys, Dolly Parton, Elvis Presley and going to Red River New Mexico.  Billie dearly loved her family and never stopped praying for them. 

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, AJ; son, Tommy; daughter-in-law, Denise; two brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include her son, Randy Newell of Borger; daughters, Patsy Hubbard and husband Randy of Borger, Teresa Newell of Borger; grandchildren, Ryan Newell and wife Andrea, Randall Hubbard, Jr. and wife Brook, Chad Hubbard; great grandchildren, Darian, McKaylee, Alana, Kane, Lainee, RJ, Luke, Hailey, Jordyn; and great-great grandchildren, Evelyn and Eli.
