Barbara Jean Barbour

Barbara “Barbie” Barbour, 74, beloved wife, mother, mamaw, sister and friend passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Grace Church with Pastor Conny Moore, officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, her memory may be made to any animal charity.

Barbie was born January 29, 1951, in Abilene, Texas to Eugene McGee and Alma Dale McGee. After the loss of her mother at the age of 12, Barbie moved to Borger with Nelson and Veretta Dale (Mom and Dad). They took her in with open arms and raised her as their own.

Barbie graduated from Frank Phillips College on August 25, 1981, with her nursing degree. She worked as a nurse at Golden Plains Hospital in Borger for over 40 years.

She loved her family with every ounce of her soul. Barbie was an animal lover, one heck of a dancer, and a laugh that could light up a room in an instant.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alma Dale and Eugene McGee, Nelson and Veretta Dale; husband, Bennie Barbour; brothers, Stanley Dale, Gary-Don Stallings, and Eric Rosenstrom.

Survivors include daughters, Keri Carrillo and her husband Eugene of Borger, Tamra Cox and husband Keith of Borger; sons, Bryan Barbour, Brent Barbour of Borger; brothers, Bryan Stallings of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, Mike Dale and wife Fran of Amarillo; sister, Patricia Lemery and husband Bruce; baby sister, Karen Felker of Borger; grandchildren, Kyle Cox, Kasey Murray and husband Jeremy, Ashley McMurry and husband Logan, Aubrey Englund and husband Joseph, Ryan Barbour and wife Megan, Josh Easley, Justin Easley, Bret Easley and wife Kensie, Logan Carrillo, Whitney Easley, Dillan Carrillo, Kellie and Kendall Clawson, Ashley Rodriguez, Lauren Dean and husband Charles, Jazlyn Barbour; and a slew of great grandchildren; and a host of extended family.

Barbie’s unwavering love and sparkling smile will be greatly missed by many.
