Annette Brooks, 89 of Fritch passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024, in Borger. Funeral services will be 2:00 Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Minton Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Annette was born on January 18, 1935, in Ranger, TX to Marion Cecil and Reba Earl (Scott) Gibbs. She was a resident of Fritch for 46 years. She married Jerald Douglas Lester November 1952 later she married Thomas David Brooks March 19, 1960, in Borger. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church and Gateway Baptist Church. She loved playing slot machines, card games and spending time with her family.

Preceding her in death are her parents, husbands Jerald Douglas Lester and Thomas David Brooks. Siblings Ken Gibbs and Sandra Joslin.

Surviving are her daughters Paula Nelson and husband Jerry of Dumas; Deborah Ruppanner of Amarillo. Brothers, Don Gibbs and wife Reda of Fritch, Jerry Gibbs and wife Brenda of Red Oak, TX, Melvin Gibbs of Berkshire, TX. Sister Wanda Melvin of Ashdown, Arkansas. Grandchildren, Michael Laub, Matthew Laub, Joshua Laub, Nathan Ruppanner, Brian Ruppanner, Brianna Setzer, Ricki Laws and J. J. Diesing. Sixteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
