Anita Shirlene Brassfield, 68, of Panhandle went to be with Jesus on May 1, 2026.
There will be a visitation for family and friends at Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle on Tuesday, May 5th from 4:00-6:00pm. Cremation will be under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Anita's name to Children's Miracle Network, 1732 Hagy Blvd, Amarillo, Texas, 79106.
Anita was born March 29, 1958, in Brownfield, Texas to William Marvin and Marjorie Faye (Sexton) Floyd. She was a secretary for most of her life and lived in Panhandle for over 15 years. She was an avid cross stitcher, loved arts and crafts, and was enthusiastic about game shows. Her most notable claim to fame was the time she made it to Contestant’s Row on the Price is Right show and gave Bob Barker a “Ding Dong Daddy from Dumas” ball cap. Her greatest love was her grandchildren, who called her Nana.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Surviving is a son, Drew Brassfield and wife Cindy of Panhandle; daughter, Kacie Brassfield of Amarillo; son, Kyler Brassfield and wife Sicily of Belton, Texas; daughter, Abby Brassfield of Amarillo; grandchildren, Kaylee Brassfield, Audree Brammer and husband Hayden, Chisum Brassfield; sister, Barbie Clugy and husband Glen of Canyon; niece, Shayla Hoskins and husband Jared of Amarillo; niece, Stephanie Coyne and husband Stephen of Samnorwood; as well as three great nephews, and one great niece.
