Alton Rice

Alton Felix Rice, 72 of Stinnett went to be with his Lord and savior on Saturday, August 7, 2021, in Amarillo.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Calvary Baptist Church in Borger. Burial will be in Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Family and friend’s visitation will be Tuesday, August 10, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Felix was born May 4, 1949, in Belzoni, Mississippi to James Noel Rice Sr. and Irene Copeland (Chanell) Rice. He served in the US Marine Corps in Viet Nam receiving National Defense, Cross of Gallantry, Combat Action Ribbon and Vietnamese Service Medal. He was an artist and a carpenter. Loved wood working, collecting coins, sailing and spending time with his grandkids and his beloved dog Sunday Morning Sunshine, most of all the Lord. He is now healed and sailing on the beautiful waters in heaven.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters Patsy Degner, Joan Pruitt and Brenda Taylor.

Surviving is his wife Robia Scott Rice. Son Israel Rice and wife Caitlyn. Daughters Joella Rice, Brenda Rios and husband Hector, Cynthia Trujillo. Grandchildren Isaiah Romero, Triston Trujillo, Maurissa Trujillo, Mylee, Brycen and Scarlett Rios Candace and Hannah Rice. Great Grandchildren Rhylan and Madden Romero
