Lynn Harrison Holland, Sr., 80, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2019.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at South Lawn Baptist Church in Amarillo with Pastor Greg Kinch and Pastor Travis Leamon, officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle. In lieu of flowers his memory may be honored with a gift to a charity of choice. Masonic rites to be conducted at a later date. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon until service time on Saturday at the church.
Lynn was born September 9, 1938 in Clovis, New Mexico to Addis Lynn Holland and Ruth May Lapp Holland. Deputy Sheriff Holland retired from Law Enforcement after 32 years, having served across the Texas Panhandle and also in Pecos County. He had a passion for guns from shooting them to reloading his own ammo. Lynn enjoyed working with leather in his shop and tinkering as a mechanic. Nothing brought more joy to his life than his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Kay of Amarillo; son, Lynn Holland, Jr. and wife Mary Beth of Pampa; daughter, Rhonda Hicks and husband Barry of Panhandle; five grandchildren, Chad Holland, Anna Holland and fiancé Justin Lee, Mattie Leamon and husband Travis, Amber Brinkley and husband Kevin, Abbie Good and husband Tell; nine great grandchildren, Taylor Brinkley, Cooper Brinkley, Flint Good, Quinna Good, Harrison Leamon, Wilson Leamon, Kayson Leamon, Kaylee Holland, Stratton Lee; brothers, Jesse Holland and wife Linda of Lubbock, Tony Holland and wife Libby of Colorado, Dewey Holland of Oklahoma; sister, Mary Jan Duncan of North Carolina; and sister-in-laws, Bette Howell and husband Gary of Fredericksburg, Dale Throckmorton and husband James of LaGrange, Gale LeClair and husband Art of New Hampshire.
