Roger was born December 26, 1954 in Borger. He married Pamela Austin on July 16, 1976. He was a very active person and enjoyed working out, playing racquetball, snow skiing, fishing and hunting. When he wasn’t working at Sid Richardson Carbon Black he could be found painting houses and spending time with his family. When his boys were young he enjoyed coaching their various sports teams. However nothing brought more joy to his life than his grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Alford.
Survivors include his wife, Pam of Amarillo; sons, Chad Reed of Dallas, Justin Reed and wife Cassie of Amarillo, Brent Reed and wife K’Lynne of Fritch; sister, Twanna VanLoon and husband Wilson of Borger; brothers, Wayne Reed and wife Annelle of Amarillo, Steve Reed of Borger; three grandchildren, Brody, Skylar and Jensen; step-father, Robbie Alford of Amarillo; aunt, Barbara Fowler of Borger; and a host of extended family.
For the short time I knew him it was apparent how much love and happiness he brought to his loved ones. I'm so sorry for your loss. In my prayers.

We share such fond memories of Roger, basketball games, double dating, just being goodfriends. After we all married we ended up being neighbors. Our kids all played together, Chad , Wes, Matt Poole, all such good kids. Roger was a great role model for his children , wonderful Christain man. He will be greatly missed in this world but what an amazing reunion in Heaven yesterday. Miss you my friend until we meet again. Our heartfelt sympathy to Pam and the boys.We will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers..
