Dale Dwaine Sanders, 70, died July 26, 2018 in Borger. His Celebration of Life with Military Honors will be Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Minton Memorial Chapel.
Dale was born January 2, 1948 in Mangum, OK to Jasper Pink Sanders and Irene Bell Farmer Sanders. He has lived in Borger since 1972 and was a mechanic for Cedar Lanes Bowling Alley where he was able to fix anything. He loved horses and all animals, he loved serving his country in the U.S. Navy during Viet Nam. Dale pulled cotton as a kid and knew the value of a hard days work. He loved his kids and was a wonderful Daddy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Diane Hewitt.
He is survived by his two daughters Michelle Hernandez and her husband Jaime of Borger and Stephanie Velarde and Raymond of New Braunfels, TX, his two brothers J. P. Sanders of White City, KS and Walter E. Sanders of Borger and five grandchildren.
Our marriage only lasted 7 years. I saw in you that you would always be a great Dad to my girls even after we divorced. It was nice that we stayed friends and Gary always admired and respected how you helped me raise our girls and the things you taught them from fishing, riding and training horses, those were some fun times when we represented North Country Coors” in Parades and set pivots in Rodeos. Prayers for the repose of your soul and for all your loved ones.

You were such a good Daddy to Steph and I. We are so blessed to have had you as a constant in our formative years... to teach us important life lessons, how to care for animals, responsibility etc. And i am blessed to have had the past few years to become closer to you and to be there for you when you needed it most. I could never repay what you gave to us. I look forward to the day when we will meet again in heaven. Love you Dale!!
