He is a graduate of Borger High School and the Dallas Institute of Funeral Services; he also attended Frank Phillips College in the Business Administration Department. Jake is a charter member of Grace Fellowship church where he has served in various teaching capacities. He is involved in the local community as a member of the Borger Rotary Club where he will be serving as President for the 2010-2011 year. He sits on the Board of Directors for the Borger Chamber of Commerce, also serving as president in the past years. Jake is Vice President for the Borger Camp of Gideon’s International which works to distribute scriptures throughout the world. He has served as Chairman of the Hutchinson County Red Cross and was a member of the Optimist Club when it initiated the youth football program where he coached for 8 years.
Jake left the business for 6 years in 1994 to pursue ministry activities in America’s prison system believing when you change a person’s heart you will change his life. Jake also lived and worked at an orphanage for a year in Mexico helping to start Big Heart Orphanage which continues to change the lives of children today Jake has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer for 36 years. He has served as a board member for the Texas Funeral Directors Association and is Past President of the Panhandle Funeral Directors Association. He is the son of the Founders of the business, A.M. and Cleo Minton.
Jake is married to Lea who is also active in the business. They have four children, Jenni Minton, Dennis J. Humble, Heather Hulsey and husband Larry, and Austin Minton. They also have five precious grandchildren, Jordan and Jaya Minton, Addison, Lawson and Hudson Hulsey. |

Jerry worked with and for AM Minton starting at the young age of 14 eventually becoming co-owner of the funeral home with Jake Minton. In his career he has served as President of Panhandle Funeral Directors Association and received an award for “Outstanding Funeral Director” 1983-1984. Jerry also recently received an award in Austin for 50 years of funeral service. Jerry is a member of the Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge (Unity Lodge), Lubbock Scottish Rite and the Khiva Shrine Temple. Jerry is also Manager and co-owner of Westlawn Memorial Park. Jerry is married to Linda; they have 4 children, 8 grandchildren and 1 great grand-daughter. |

Brenda enjoys her grandchildren, working out, reading, and assisting clients with their folders and books in remembrance of their loved ones.
