Sharon Kay Byrd, 60, died Wednesday, July 14, 2010 in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Riverview Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Gillmore, Pastor officiating. Interment will be in "The Garden of Love" at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Byrd was born on July 27, 1949 in Borger and she had been a lifetime resident of Borger. She retired from Wal-Mart after working in every department in the store. Sharon was a member of Riverview Baptist Church, enjoyed reading books, camping and cake decorating and she loved her pets. She was preceded in death by her father Pete Ford in 2006, husband James Larry Byrd on March 15, 1998, and granddaughter Adisynne Michelle Spencer in 2006.

She is survived by three sons – Larry Byrd and wife Angie, Kelly Byrd and Cody Byrd and wife Kendra all of Borger, daughter – Tori Spencer and husband Wade of Borger, mother- Frances Ford of Fritch, three sisters – Gail Sable and husband Randy of Amarillo, Janet Bauert and husband Ken of Sanford, Karen Lemley and husband Ben of Amarillo, thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The family will be staying at 1008 Dillard St. in Borger.
