Wallace Clyde Lanier, Sr.
May 5, 1932 - March 2, 2010

Wallace Clyde Lanier, Sr., 77, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010 in Pampa.

Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Cole Goldsmith officiating. Interment will be in Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.

Mr. Lanier was born on May 5, 1932 in Georgia. He worked for Doc Savage and United Plumbing in Amarillo for several years, before owning and operating Wally's Plumbing for 30 years. He was honorably discharged from the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Greenland. He was an MP at the Amarillo Air Force Base. He married Millie Sue McLaughlin in October, 1952 in Tucumcari, NM. They lived most of their lives in Panhandle. He was preceded in death by a daughter Lisa LoFink.

He is survived to three sons - Wally Lanier, Jr. and wife Vi and David Lanier all of Panhandle, Robby Lanier of Borger, two daughters - Cindy Gilbreth and husband Johnny of Amarillo, Sandra Kay Lanier of Panhandle, eighteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
