Robert "Bob" Winfield Wetherbee  I am a Veteran.
March 21, 1928 - February 27, 2010

R. W. "Bob" Wetherbee, 81, died Saturday, February 27, 2010 in Borger.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Minton Memorial Chapel. Interment will be in "The Garden of Love" at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. Wetherbee was born on March 21, 1928 in Electra, TX and had been a Borger resident since 1986. He retired after 40 years as an operator for Phillips Petroleum Co. working in Borger and Odessa. He was in the bowling league for years. Bob was devoted to his family and enjoyed his grandchildren. He loved to fish, hunt and play scrabble. He loved to garden, especially roses, was a die-hard Dallas Cowboy fan, was a very hard worker and could fix anything.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Doris, two brothers, Donald & Jim Wetherbee, a granddaughter Susan Renee Henry and a great-granddaughter Maddie Henry.

He is survived to two daughters – Carolyn Jane Popple and husband Doug of Mesa, AZ, Patricia Lynn Stombaugh and husband Bob of Borger, brother –Lane Wetherbee of College Station, five grandchildren – Shannon Alfaro, Tobin Wynn, Rob Henry, Eric Popple, and Alicia Popple, and nine great-grandchildren, Ashleigh Alfaro, Austin Henry, Chloe Wynn, Edie Wynn, Bobbie Jo Wynn, Alexis Henry, Jake Popple,Skylar Popple and Peyton Popple.
